Bart Barber, DVM, Farm Veterinarian
Rood + Riddle Equine Hospital Ambulatory
Bart was born on a cattle ranch in Ririe, Idaho and gained some rather unique horse experience by driving Quarter Horse racing chariots. He completed his DVM at Washington State University in 1998, interning at Rood + Riddle from 1998 to 1999. Bart’s primary focus is reproduction, primary and preventive care, and sales. He joined Lantern Hill in 2000.

David Hall, Farm Farrier
Hall Farrier Services
A native of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, David is a second generation farrier who began shoeing horses in 1979, when he graduated from the Oklahoma Horse Shoeing School. After teaching Farrier Science there for two years after his graduation, David moved to Kentucky and has worked with Bobby Langley, Tex Cauthen and Steve Simon. He’s been keeping hooves in shape for us since 2000.

Robin Thorne Huffman, Administrative Assistant
Robin Thorne Huffman was raised in Slidell, LA and graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart /Grand Coteau and Southeastern Louisiana University. She fell in love with Lexington and thoroughbreds while riding her uncle’s racetrack pony around Keeneland during school vacations, and moved to Kentucky in 1991. Robin has worked sales for Lantern Hill and run the B.E.T. Reproductive Lab since the early nineties, she is now married with two young children and living in Lexington.
